Pugsley
& Lewis was set up in 1989 by Martin Pugsley and Tim Lewis in
a small unit in Brixton, London. Martin and Tim met as apprentices
at Aston Martin garage RS Williams in the 1970s. Together they worked
on and helped rebuild some of the marque's rarest and most prestigious
models, including DBR1s, DBR2s project car 212, many DB4 GTs and
Zagatos including 2VEV as well as the all conquering lightweight
DB4 racers. One of the last jobs was building the sanction 2 Zagato
rolling chassis. Martin was particularly involved in the World Endurance
championship cars i.e. Aston Martin Nimrod, Ecurie Ecosse to name
but a couple that we have run from RS Williams throughout the 1970s
and 80s.
In
1989 with RS Williams' blessing the pair branched out on their own.
Since then they have restored and maintained cars for Aston Martin
owners all over the world.
They
both had a strong passion for cars from a very early age. Tim has
a collection of classic and other interesting cars, including a
V8 Vantage and a DB6 Volante. Club racing Alfa Romeos since 1991
with many victories. Tims racing experience makes him uniquely qualified
to detect and assess problems during road tests.

Tim Lewis has been racing Alfa Romeos at club level since 1991,
rarely coming outside the first three placings |

To
experts like Martin and Tim, how a car handles, sounds and feels
on driving, reveals as much and usually more than any computerised
equipment. Together they have the know-how to make the subtle adjustments
needed for you to get the most out of your Aston Martin.
The
pair also share a passion for precision and a deep commitment to
maintaining originality, which means your car gets the very best
treatment.
